iPod Mini in Canada?

I did a search and came up with nothing, so I figured I'd post this. Does anyone know why there is no mention of the iPod Mini in the Canadian Apple.ca? I'm curious. Is it just because it isn't officially out yet, or what? A friend of mine was looking at getting one, so I decided to look up educational prices for her...but they aren't mentioned anywhere on the Canadian site as far as I can see!

iPod mini for Mac and Windows will be available in the US in February for a suggested retail price of $249 (US), and will be available worldwide in April

Ahhh....jeez, now we're worldwide! That sucks åss, considering we're just up the road. Ahhh well. I'm sure they won't mind one lost sale....

For what it's worth, I still think that it is a mistake on Apple's part not to have iPod mini info on the Apple Canada website. It doesn't change the fact that they will not ship until April but they could at least start taking orders.
I waited for 9 weeks for my 15 Inch iMac G4 to ship when they first came out.
Having the info on the site can only help sales. I would order one right now even knowing I had to wait. As it stands, I'm hoping to have a friend pick up one for me in the US next month.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have an update on when the iPod Mini might reach our Canadian shores? Needless to say it's long since past April...and none of the stores up here have a clue.

Just got off the phone with an Apple rep from the Canada Apple Store. She told me that I may not be able to order an iPod mini in Canada until January - a far cry from the July date Apple restated in the spring. Anyone else heard anything different?
(BTW - I purchased a green one via E-Bay and am looking to purchase a second colour - I'll guess I'll have to go that way again.)
