Sorry for such a basic question but I'm using a hp1200 on a network through a jet direct 175x and when I do a print screen from explorer I get symbols on one edge of the page for quite a few pages. When I print from Outlook express it prints fine. what am I doing wrong? thanks for the help

I'm on os 9.1 by the way

can you try a different browser? Then see if the problem persists.

It seems to be a postscript error and upon seeing this my preferences file was "damaged beyond repair" but I don't see where I can reset this. Any thoughts?

I don't have another browser on this computer but will look for one and try it. Thanks

Mark

Could it have anything to do with character set? By the way it looks fine in print preview but just doesn't translate to the printer? thanks.

I believe the preference file you are seeking is called "com.microsoft.explorer.plist".
