I was just wondering, can you use a PC formatted zip disk on a mac? do you just have to reformat it?
I have always wondered that?

yes, you can use PC-formatted zip disk on a mac. if you want to reformat the disk, you need to use iomega tools though.

The icon shows up as a PC disk but no need to format it, it works just like a PC floppy did. Read and write away....

Unless you NEED for that disk to be read on a PC, reformat it as Mac!!

Why?

Mac OS 9 (and earlier) and Mac OS X write Mac files to DOS disks in different -- incompatible -- ways.
