Sorry if this has already been posted - just did a quick look and didn't see anything. Apple.com and Apple.ca are both featuring 10% off the 15, 20, and 40 Gig iPods today and tomorrow only.
I guess this is to attract additional orders if people cruise over to the site because of the iTunes promotion... Still - great time to buy an iPod.

Pffft.. This upsets me (a bit). Once again Apple deal their european customers a raw deal. Over the pond you guys got Apple stores all over the place.. Yet none here. And to add insult to injury, iPods are sold at rip off prices over here as it is.. So here where we would really appreciate the discount, we don't bloody well get one! Talk about taking the p!ss..
And STILL no iTunes music store either..
Erm, Thanks a bunch Apple.
Switch campaign wasn't targeted in this remote corner of the planet then I take it..

heres the solution:
get a ticket and come over here and buy it. i was thinking about it in the shower .. becuase 2 dollars equals one pound . .. 500 dollar ipd is only 250 pounds (thats retardedly low .. esp for london).
or buy it (in usd) .. have a fellow macnn send it to you intl ..
just an idea

Apple has a 10 day price adjustment policy. So get in before the deal ends to get your adjustment.

Thats an idea.. Not been over that way for 6 years or so.. I do have friends over there too. If I twisted their arm a bit, i'm sure they would get me one and send it my way.
But the point is, Apple's attitude to European customers etc. The UK Apple store is sh!t too.. Order something, and it gets sent half way around europe before ariving at my door 2-3 weeks later. Made even more annoying cos the stuff gets sent to London 1st (where I live) THEN to mainland europe, and back again! Madness..
Just as well I dont want an iPod Mini huh.. 4 month wait for those over here
Sorry for grumbling/ranting/venting..

haha i feel ya. but i went to london for the first time just one month ago and wow .. you guys needless pay more than you should!!! so apple just fits in i guess lol.
but i feel ya. part of it is also fed ex becuase they ship it everywhere except where its gonna go for 99.999% of the item's travel ... fed ex is just horrible.
i almost would have your friends do it becuase its half of what we are paying here in teh states and to ship it wont cost that much ... regardless (plus we get the mini first )

I just got in on this...I've been wanting a few good reasons to upgrade from my 15GB iPod considering I have 22+GB of music, and just last night my buddy offered to buy my 15GB (not the newest ones, I've had this one since the 10/15/30GB lineup) and so I jumped on 40GB this morning w/ a cool personalization to boot. Tax sucks, but it's still greater than even the EDU discount ($469 vs. $449). Can't wait!

My roommate was going to buy a iPod Mini. (I still think it should've been called the MiniPod!)
At 10% off he couldn't resist. 15GB iPod for $269. He likes my 40GB model, and when I told him the 15 was thinner, he was sold. $20 difference for more then 3 times the space, plus free shipping and free laser engraving. Overall size be damned, that was a great deal.

Awesome, yeah I took advantage of the engraving also!
Amazingly enough, I ordered Sunday morning, and it shipped Sunday night! They sure engraved it fast...and even stranger, it shipped from Canada. I've heard of Taiwan and California, but Canada? Ah well, it arrived in 3 days w/ the free shipping, and although it's a bit thicker than my 15GB, it matters not, it holds a ton!
