I, too, am eager to hear responses - I'm thinking of buying a Jabra freespeak, and being able to use that with my mac seriously could be good!

The article seems to indicate that this will work only with the D-Link or built in Apple modules- any info on this?
I have my PB and Belkin BT module here at work but I left my headset at home.
Damn I hope I don't have to buy another BT module.

I have tried it with both a D-link adapter (firmware flashed) and M$ BT adapter (came with M$ BT mouse) and a Jabra Freespeak BT200
The OS-wide audio support 'works' (see quality note below) with the D-link but not with the M$ adapter.
Using the D-link, a new Headset category appears in the BT setup utility and this enables easy pairing. The Jabra can then be selected in the Audio In and Out settings of the Sound preferences.
I tried listening to internet radio (BBC Radio 4) using the Jabra and the sound quality is just about OK to start with but static interference starts to build up after a while making the experience less than great. The same channel listened to over a Plantronics DSP-500 USB headset has excellent quality. It seems as if there is some drift with the Jabra and D-link but it is a step in the right direction at least. It would be nice to try a different headset but I cannot afford the extra cost only to get the same iffy audio quality. Has anybody tried with a Plantronics BT headset?
Hope this helps.

Thanks, Rocky2
Then I guess I'll wait around a bit more to hear if there are other options.

A BT hardware developer here in Tokyo has offered me several new BT headsets to beta test with the new Apple headset profile so I'll post a short note on what I find next week. I'm hoping poorish audio quality that I have seen so far is a problem with the Jabra BT200 iteslf rather that an inherent limit of audio over BT.
Last year, I beta tested a stereo BT solution for the same company which has yet to come to market. It uses compression at both sending and receiving and the stero quality was amazing--it was quite easy to listen to CD quality audio at least 30 feet from my Mac with no static or dropouts at all. I am told it will be on the market later this year but the beta version I tried had no audio in--only audio out.

I have an HBH-30 and it will pair, but it will not connect. When I try to set-up a new device I don't see a headset option, just other... When I puch the button (to make a voice connection) the HBH-30 connects for a second and then is dropped.

You need to run the Apple BT firmware updater (1.02) available from Apple on the built-in Apple BT chipset or the plugged-in D-link adapter. Then restart and the Headset option will be available for pairing and the paired headest will appear in the Sound input and output settings.
The firmware updater only seems to work on the above chipsets and no others.
Others are reporting good results with the HBH-30.
