ok, so i turned this back into a real post.

tonight a bought a used 3rd gen ipod from a friend. it had more scratches on it than it would if i had owned it from the start, but that's ok.

anyway, i used brasso on it (as suggested by a few threads on the forums) and it did a huge deal to clean it up. my question now is, would ice cream possibly clean up the rest, or is it essentially the same stuff as brasso? anyone know?

thanks,
andrew davidoff

I never used Brasso in fear that it might damage the plastics of the iPod but it looks like you have had a good experience so far. I will definitely recommend the Ice Creme product from Radtech.
I ordered it right after I got my iPod at Macworld. I immediately noticed that my iPod picked up a few scratches with very minimal use and I was very careful.
After I got the Ice Creme product I opened the package and it included 3 bottles. Bottle "A" is for heavy scratches, bottle "B" is for light scratches and polishing and bottle "M" is for the metal on the back of the iPod. All the scratches have vanished on my iPod and I use it frequently to maintain the new out of the box look. Well worth the $29.99 U.S. dollars.
