I am hoping that I don't get "Osbourned" too quickly...

In my scans over the Apple boards I saw no evidence that a new cinema display style / model was coming...I plan on using the display with my 1GHz Ti PB - will be great for Video editing. Of course I will eventually get a dual 2.X GHz PowerMac someday, but I hope to catch the NEXT refresh / rev.

BTW, anyone know of an elegant docking / port replicator solution for the Titanium PBs???

Thanks

A display refresh is coming, I'm sure. When, I don't know, but Apple's been using the same design for a while. It's bound to happen.

However, enjoy your display and don't worry about it. I'm using a Quicksilver-era 22" Cinema Display (back when they cost $2500) on my G5 and still love it.

Yup...good advice. Thanks.

I debated the 23"...but figure I will put the $700 >>> a new G5 - when they arrive.

Monitors usually have good "shelf" life...However, Apple of course does the right hand turn with design - which can leave you looking aesthetically retarded, but still functional.

I just need to get over it!!!

I see no benefit from port replicators. But if you want one...

Thanks Chris...interesting one. Not cheap, but looks good.

I like replicators because you snap in and you are good to go....otherwise you are plugging everything into your NB.

I've seen that particular model in person. It seemed well built. But as you noted, not cheap.
