Hey guys,
I just picked up my brand new PB 12" and I love it. I have one problem though, I got the Epson Stylus c84 printer offer, and am having trouble getting it to work. I've followed all the instructions but it doesn't recognize that I've installed the driver. I read on Epson's help FAQ page and found this.

Q: I installed the printer driver on my Macintosh, but it isn't showing up in the Chooser. What should I do?

A: Make sure the QuickDraw GX extension is disabled, and make sure theSC84 Series and EPSON Status Monitor3 extensions are enabled. Then, restart your Macintosh.

The problem is, I have no idea what this means. If someone could help I would REALLY appreciate it.
Thank you guys,
-Chris.

Well it sounds like those instructions are for OS9. I'm guessing that since you bought the 12" PB, you have OSX (10.3) pre-installed. The way to set up a printer is pretty simple. You dont need the disk. Go into Printer Setup Utility (should be in Applications>Utilities). Then click on add printer. It's most likely USB so select that from the first drop down menu. Then it should find your printer. In the bottom drop down menu try to find your printer model and then click add. Should be set to go.

I've done that, but it won't let me select the printer because it says the driver is not installed. It recognizes that the printer is connected to the USB port, but I can't do anything. Please, anyone have any advice?
Thanks again,
-Chris.

When you go to add the printer, choose Epson USB instead of just USB in the drop down menu. I think that should do the trick.
