Hey everyone. I have a friend who has a Panasonic TV where on the front there is a port labled "S-Video in 2". He has a new Powerbook Al 1.25ghz and wants to play DVDs onto the TV via S-Video. The Al has a 7 pin S-Video port and the TV has a 4 pin S-Video input port.

The cable that came with the laptop was an S-Video to composit, but due to existing wiring and space it's not possibly to plug into there.

So....where would I find, I guess what would be, a 7 pin output to 4 pin input S-Video adaptor/cable? Does such a thing exist or is this more complicated than I would think it has to be.

You use a 4-pin cable. The extra pins are there for the composite output and aren't used with S-video cables.
