I have a new HP iPAQ h4100 PocketPC, a recent upgrade from a malfunctional Toshiba e755. I've been using The Missing Sync for PocketPC from Mark/Space via USB for a while with no problems.
The HP iPAQ h4100 has built-in WiFi and Bluetooth. I'm trying to get Bluetooth syncing to work, and I'm having some issues.
Details: My Mac (G5 w/ an Apple-approved D-Link Bluetooth adapter) is apparently successfully paired with both my iPAQ and my Apple wireless keyboard. I can see the iPAQ under the Bluetooth favorites (both a heart and a key symbol, like the keyboard). My G5 is "discoverable" as well. I can also successfully browse the iPAQ via Apple's Bluetooth File Exchange utility. I've followed Mark/Space's Bluetooth sync instructions to the letter, and an ActiveSync connection shortcut is properly made & correctly detects my G5's Rendezvous/Network name. Yet, I cannot successfully initiate a Bluetooth sync from the iPAQ. When I try, the iPAQ fails to connect to the desktop.
Is anyone syncing their PocketPC via Bluetooth?? Help appreciated. More specifics available if you need 'em.

Hmm... Glad I happened upon this post. My h4150 should arrive tomorrow hopefully, and I've been looking forward to syncing with my PB "12 via Bluetooth. I got rid of my Sony Clie UX50 and loved syncing it via Bluetooth, but took the plunge and bought an iPaq. I'll give it a go tomorrow evening and get back to you with my findings. Good luck with yours, and hope you're happy with it!

I got Bluetooth synching to work right away with my h4100 series iPaq.
Tapped the Bluetooth icon - lower right, tapped Bluetooth manager.
Click the Bluetooth icon at the very bottom there and select "ActiveSyncing via Bluetooth" or something like that (mines written in Japanese!).
That should do it.
Again, I'm synching my iPaq with my 12" Powerbook.
Good luck!

Hmm... I see you've already tried making the ActiveSync connection shortcut... sorry, I missed that. I really don't know much else to say, except hope someone else contributes to this thread.

Follow up-
I was never able to get bluetooth syncing with The Missing Sync to work, despite (a) following directions to the tee and (b) using my own troubleshooting techniques.
Solution-
Switched to PocketMac for syncing. Bluetooth syncing works just great now.
