I've been playing the Unreal Tourney 2004 Demo and I borrowed a Kensington Studiomouse (3button) to use. Its come in pretty handy with the extra buttons but it makes me wonder what else is out there for gaming mice.
Anyone have any suggetions on what are the best mice for gaming such as Unreal? Im looking to buy one or possibly purchase this Studiomouse from a friend for $30.
Looking to make an informed purchase. Feedback welcome!

The Logitech mice are great. I use the MX-700, which is a wireless mouse. The MX-500 is the wired equivalent. They both have great (optical) tracking and 800 dpi or some-such sensors.

im a big fan of my microsoft blue with a funcpad. i can run sensitivities of less than 1 in counter strike. never had any troubles with the scan rate with this setup.
highly recommend the func pad tho. well worth the money.

I also recommend the Logitech MX-700. If you hunt around you can find some really good deals on it. It feels great and has fantastic performance.

If you're getting the MX700, consider the Cordless MX Duo. It's $75 shipped from NewEgg, and it includes both the MX700 mouse AND a wireless Elite keyboard. I recommend it because it's not a whole lot more expensive than an MX700 by itself.

I'm using the MS Wireless Explorer 2.0. I didn't want to try wireless, but I was getting more unwanted friction from the cords on my last mice, so I tried it. It works better for me, but I haven't tried the Logitech ones. I didn't like the feel of the shape and button placement in the store. I could do with better tracking, but it's better than the wired Intellimice and others I was using.
