Just a shot in the dark here... I'm trying to get my Canon i950 printer up and running on the mac. Using a USB connection, it works just fine. However, I'd prefer not having to swap the cables every time I want to use the printer on another computer. I could of course share it on the network, but then I'd have to switch some computer on every time I want to print from another...
So anyway, I borrowed a BT3051 from work, and plugged the printer into it. It seems to work just fine, but there is one small problem. Using the standard "Set up device" feature in OSX Bluetooth PrefPane, I can find the printer adapter without any problem. But when it comes around to installing the drivers, it refuses, since it can't recognize the printer, only the adapter itself. There seems to be nowhere I can force it to install the correct drivers either.
Anyone tried this, or even better, managed to get it to work?
