I have not been able to get our existing Lexmark x83 multi-printer to communicate with our iBook G4. The iBook is running Mac OS X Version 10.3.2. I tried downloading drivers from Lexmark's website (as the driver for the x83 was not preloaded), and while drivers are listed on the site for OS X, I still couldn't get it to work properly. I will admit that I'm still getting used to Mac, as I've used PCs most of my life, so it's most likely that I'm doing something wrong. Suggestions? The unfortunate part is that this printer isn't even network compatible, so even if I can get the drivers to work properly, I have to go and connect the iBook to the printer by USB. In the meantime, I've been using our wireless network to open the files on our PC and print from there, but I'd really like to have the iBook all set as well so I don't have to power up the PC just to print.
Thanks for your advice/assistance/recommendations!

Hi
I've tried the gimp print with my Lexmark printers and it works great on my TiBook.

Good luck!
