hi all,

i've seen the cable that allows 3rd gen ipods to connect to a windows usb 2.0 but is there a way to connect a 2nd generation ipod to a windows machine (not in theory, but by someone who has actually done it successfully)?

anyone?

Of course it's been done -- using FireWire.

1G and 2G iPods have only FireWire. If the Windows PC doesn't have FW, you can add it with a cheap expansion card.
