I've searched this forum for advice on what the "best" way to handle the iPod is, and I've seen conflicting postings. Some folks say the battery has memory; most say it doesn't.

Some say that you should run the battery all the way down before recharging; others say that you should charge frequently and that running it all the way down is actually *bad*.

Can someone provide some authoritative answers on the question of the best way to preserve long-term battery life with an iPod?
