Anyone ever find or have a line out cable that has no charger? I don't travel far enough to need to charge my iPod. I just want the line out signal. Do they exist and anyone have a link for it?

Thanks

yup, all you need is an 1/8" plug to RCA output, plug it into the back of your head unit in your car.

Alternatively, you could just get a tape adapter, which would also work.

I know but thats what I don't want to do, I want to use the line out port on the bottom not the headphone jack and not thru a charger/line out adaptor like the belkin or Monster. I just want and adaptor that is line out only thru the bottom dock port minus the charger part. To 1/8" mini jack if possible.

i havent seen anything, but you could use the dock i think, and then get a mini to mini cable from radioshack.

are you not charging your ipod because you are afraid for the battery?

No I just wont be using it enough to need to have it charge in the car...just want to hook it up to my mount plug it in and go...using the battery power.

k, then i dont understand why you dont just buy the belkin one. the sound jack is in the cigarette plug (you have one of those right?) so the effect is a pretty clean install.

I don't want to spend the money for something I won't use, plus my installation I want to do only requires a line out not a charger.
