Hello

I bought my daughter a FlatFoto camera from RadioShack. The clerk said it would work with OS X. It does not.

Is there a generic driver that I could use to mount the camera?

I can see the the camera with system profiler, but image capture and iphoto both show that I have no camera connected.

RadioShack has been no help. I believe they discontiued the camera and they won't take a return.

Thanks

Does it have removable media?

According to this site, this and the Logitech 130 are the same camera. So, if you didn't have Mac OS X drivers in the package, download them from Logitech's site. Check out their support page on this model.

Here's an excerpt from the above mentioned article:
For Windows XP and Mac OS X users, the camera supposedly shows up as a drive when you plug it in (no drivers needed). It works as advertised on my XP system, but I do not have access to a Mac to try out the OS X compatibility. There is an included driver disk however, for Win 98 and Mac users, as well as a USB cable for downloading images, and a small instruction book. A basic image editing program is included on the disk as well, but again, if you're using a XP or OS X machine my guess is that you'll just want to use the camera as a drive and load the images onto a better imaging editing program of your choice.

There are two driver files on the CD that comes with it.

One is the .pkg install file - that will not work, it will freeze after one click

The second is a .sit file of the same package file. Decompress that and load it to your desktop. That will install drivers that will allow iPhoto to see the camera connected.
