People say make sure that they are well inserted in your ear canals and that should fix the problem.
Looking to get a pair in the next week or so if I can find something worthy to bundle them with from Apple Store so I can get the free shipping...
Cheers.

I have Sony MDR-EX71 in-ear buds and they are absolutely awesome (and, unlike normal earbuds, do not interfere with some of my ear piercings).

I love my Sony MDR-EX71SL's also. Nothing beats in-ear 'phones in my opinion because you basically get the sound of "big" headphones with the portability of ear buds.
To get the best sound, make sure they're REALLY inserted well into your ear canal. You may also want to try each of the rubbery "caps" to find the best fit. You'll know you've got it right when most outside noise is blocked (without any music playing) and you get a full, rich sound when you turn the music on.

All true. I just got mine from www.audiocube.com last week. The only problem is that all my other stereo equipment sounds horrible now in comparison.

I bought a pair yesterday at the SF Apple Store grand opening. I think they sound better than the ear buds that that were included with the original iPod. Like SupahCoolX said, the key is selecting the correct earpiece to make a tight but comfortable fit in your ear.

i use the sony's as well...excellent value for the $$. it took me a few days to get used to them as when fitted in properly they do block a lot of outside noise - it was like i could hear/feel my own footsteps coming up through my body.
