I'd like to continue using part of my 20g for music, but also copy a work hard drive onto the iPod. When I use CCC to clone backups of assorted HDs, I have to partition an external drive for each HD I want to back up.
How do I make the 20g do both the music and serve as a backup? Would I be able to access Address from the 'backup' HD? What software do I need? Is there a tutorial?
thanks.

i dont really know. but i have heard bad things about using the ipod as a drive. something about overheating.

if you want to backup, and not really use the drive, why do you have to partition? i am not familiar with ccc, but cant you just add things in on top of the music that is already on there?

again, this is more of a software question i think.

Can't you save your partitions into a disk image? One directly onto the iPod because then its bootable, and the others into a disk image.
This would make the partitions obsolete.

Mine didn't overheat, but after a couple of hours of video editing, it was hot (I'd say about 60 °C). For backup, the performance should be fine.

For other stuff, it's quite slow.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
