Hi. I have two seperate questions..

1. When I print a multi-page document with my epson printer physically connected to my ibook via USB, it prints it so the last page prints first and the first page prints last so therefore all my pages are in order. This is a nice feature if you are printing long reports.
However when the same printer is hooked up to a a windows pc on my network and i print through the network, the printer prints the first page first and the last page last.. I always have to reverse the order by hand and it is quite annoying. I looked at printing options and checked the "reverse order" box but there was no effect. Any suggestions?

2. I also have a question for when I recieve a microsoft word document, I can't seem to open it in appleworks and appleworks files can't be opened in word either. Is there any program or something out there that can convert these two files both ways? This would be increidiblyl nice.

thanks in advance for the replies.

For AppleWorks to Word, you can always save the file as a .rtf file - this is easily read & supported by Word.

For reverse-order printing, there's two ways to do it.
One, often it is present in the Print driver (somewhere in the settings when you select Print...). In the Microsoft Word preferences, there is also an option to reverse printing order. This option gets saved with the file.

If you have a Word file with reverse-order printing selected, then you print it with printer-order reversed in the print driver settings, it'll come out first-page first....

thanks for the .rtf tip cadaver. Yes the reverse order printing probelm has been solved, thanks again. I looked at the products on the website and I really don't like paying 70$ just so I can convert some word files just so I can open it in appleworks. I think all of those are for the windows operating system though..

AppleWorks for PC and Word for Mac are both available. You might want to buy one (or both) if you do a lot of cross-platform document sharing.
