new logitech drivers were posted in the www.macnn.com frontpage, but i don't know if they work with the MX900. i believe that the software "gamepad companion" can be used to configure the buttons, but USB Overdrive apparently can't. i don't have an MX900 (only an MX700), so i can't test any of this myself.

Use Expose, configure the top button and the two thumb buttons for the three Expose-options. Then the two scroll-buttons will function as expected for scrolling up and down.
