I cheaped out and got a $40 desk from Target that is basically a plastic card table. Many times when I sit down and go to reach for my mouse, I get/give a little shock. The mouse will only move vertically on screen for a few seconds, and then everything will go back to normal.

Am I hurting the computer (Powerbook AL)?
