Hi

I've tried to connect my 20" cinema display to my PC which has VGA connection. The adaptors I have used were:

1. VGA to DVI connector
and then
2. DVI to ADC adaptor which is selling by apple.

The result was quite disappoined. Nothing happened. I've read these multiple connections would work with iBook or 1st generation of 12" pwerbook which lack of DVI connection. So I thought it would work but it didn't.

I know gefen provides direct VGA to ADC converter but it's very expensive. So I took it out as a poosible option.

Any idea how to hook up 20" cinema display with PC which has VGA connection? Is that connection really working or did I just get bad VGA to DVI connector? Many inputs would be appreciated.

From what I found on the pages below it looks like you would be best off getting a video card with a DVI connector and using the ADC to DVI adaptor you already have.
