O.k., this may be a dumb question, but here it goes anyway: Why is my 20G iPod only 18.5G? Where is the other 1.5G? Thanks.

it is because it is a 20gig harddrive, but when it is formatted it only comes to 18.5gig.

look at your hard drive of you mac, same thing. mine is a 30gig, but formatted it is around 28 or so gig.

this will give you more of an idea
