i have some boooks on pdf... just wondering if there is a way to put these on the ipod.. i know there are tools that will split it into a bunch of small text files.. but that is just annoying... is there no way to just read the entire thing right from my ipod?

There is currently no way to read a pdf on an iPod. And, given the small screen size, I wouldn't expect to see such functionality added in the future.
