my ipod is acting wierd. Today it isnt showing up on the desktop. So I take it out of the dock and simply cannot shut it down. AT ALL! I can hear the drive spinning and it says "do not disconect".

Tried holding the play key down for 1 min with no effect. (also the menu button with no effect)

This thing sometimes has a mind of its own. Switching songs sometimes takes 30 seconds. Happens a lot more than it should imo

any thoughs?

Never had the 30 second change problem. Maybe 5-10 when the hard drive spins up.

got it shut down finally.

Happend once on my 15Gb. I just had to reset the ipod by holding down the Menu and Play button at the same time. Cleared it right up. You might have to go into the disk diagnositc mode, but as of right now I can't remember the key combination. I'll look it up in a bit.
