I've had one for a month or so, and it's great. As for what you'll be able to do with it... that's up to you. What are you able to do with your Powerbook? It's a silly question.

I mean, due to the lack of Palm support to Mac users.

everyone has been talking about missing sync probably picking up mac support.
in my opinion: i have an ipod and will soon have a bluetooth phone that supports calendar and todo list. i sync my calendar to my ipod and will sync it to my new phone. i carry my powerbook around with me, most everywhere i go. if i really need to i can write a phone number onto a piece of paper and then put it into address book when i open my powerbook.
i don't have a use for a pda.

that's nice, but most people don't bring their powerbook everywhere. and while the mobile phone gets smarter and smarter, there are still a hundred things you can do on a palm that you cannot do on a phone (unless you have a palm phone). take FileMaker mobile for example. the input method is really the most superior feature. try sending a 100 word email on a number pad.
the T3 is a remarkable device, and it is the best pure handheld out there (pocket pc included). the T3 is supported on Mac OS at this time, it's the upcoming OS 6 release that will not have built-in Mac support. but that only means that the Missing Sync software will either come bundled with the handheld or you'll have to buy it for $40 afterward. big deal. palms will still work with macs.
i love palm devices, and personally use a treo 600 and love it. but the smartphone is striking out in a big way this year. look at all the new Sony Ericsson devices with screens as nice as most palms, built in 1MP cameras, web browsers, bluetooth, etc. coming in a couple months. Nokia with the Series 60 stuff too. and the great thing here... one device.

What lack of support? There's no problem using a T3 with a Mac. PalmSource has said they're not going to continue developing their own sync software for the Mac, but that's got little to do with the here and now. It won't be an issue until Palm OS 6, and that won't be out in devices for some time. Not only that, but PalmOne has said they don't anticipate any changes in supporting the Mac. In other words, the software may change, but the end result won't. There's no issue there.

Oh, I wrote that because the normal tag price here in Europe is $ 565.

Was also looking into getting the T3 with my Ti powerbook. I read that some people have had trouble displaying photos full screen (ie. with the slider open, on landscape mode) using their macs. Is this true?

Given that the T3 is just displaying a photo, I can't see it being in any way dependent upon a separate computer--whether it's a PC or a Mac. I've not had that problem. If there's a problem with a photo, it's likely the format of the picture.

My intention is mainly use it as a filemaker mobile pda, plus the typical do this, remember that... functions.
Does the T3 come with a FileMaker solution?

Nope. You've got to purchase the software separately.
