I'm looking at the Hyunday Q995 19" monitor and although it states in the specs that the maximum resolution is 1600X1200 and 75MHz on a PC, it mentions that on a Macintosh the most supported is 1152 X 864. I don't understand what's going on here. I have a PowerMac QS 800 with the default Radeon card. Will it work at 1600X1200? Thanks.

Yes.

PC monitor manufacturers, as far as I can tell, haven't updated their compatibility information since the mid-1990s.

Thanks for the help. I just couldn't understand the difference, the graphics cards being identical. So I should bypass the specs sheet and it will run on PC AND Mac at 1600X1200 75MHz?

Well, there's no guarantees here, but there are no technical reasons why it should not work at 1600x1200 on your mac.

Thanks. Well, I guess the key question is if it works when I plug it in, is everything is ok? Or will it blow a few days later (I had a monitor without manual I ran at 75MHz when the max was 65MHz and it blew only 3 days later).

Thanks. I can get some feedback on that I know what my options are.
