Hi there,
Have the good fortune to have one of the new(ish) SE T630s. Hooked it up to iSync, worked like a dream.
Then loaded up the address book and started sending out texts using it. It was strange though, I wasn't receiving any responses. Maybe nobody wants to talk to me? Then I tried testing the phone by sending an SMS to myself.
nada.
I also tried dialing using the Address Book; that wouldn't work.
It's not an overarching problem, because I hooked up my T39 and the sms'ing and dialing worked a-ok. Anyone else have a T630 (or T610, or any SE for that matter) and have this problem?
Any help much, much appreciated.

Actually, yes. I was not aware of this feature, but stumbled upon it while exploring my 630 new with our iBook. Sending text and dialing from Address Book gave the same result you experienced: No Thing.

i have a t616 and had a problem with the address book. i had installed salling clicker and the address book would not do a thing.
i am not sure if this is the case with you. if it is then try this. in salling clicker hold option when you click select phone, and then on the right choose port 2. log out and log in again, and address book should work perfectly.
if you do not have salling clicker installed, then i'm sorry, i have no idea

Did you install the BT latest firmware? If you did, i think that might be the culprit cos I have a t610 and I'm facing the same problems as you as my friends can't receive any sms that I've sent thru Address Book. Dialling using Address book also failed. Other stuff like salling clicker and browsing file on the phones works perfectly.
I think the latest firmware update for BT is the main culprit cos everything was working fine until I updated it. Damn
