Say you have a 400 Mhz Powerbook G3... 1000 Mhz is better than 400, eh? I installed a 900 Mhz Bluechip in my Pismo Summer 2003 and I love the new speed, it gave my laptop a new lease on life... until I got my 1.25 Ghz AlBook, that is.

So yes, it's a lot better than a stock, 4 year-old G3.

Finaly, something that sounds like a worthwhile upgrade. When the 500 MHz G4 chips came out for my 400 MHz G3 iMac I just laughed. A lot of the other processor upgrades sound ridiculous too.

Makes the pismo a better deal than an early powerbook on the used market.
