Is there an easy way to find it out? Its a quicksilver 733 mhz powermac.

Use Apple System Profiler to find the model number of the drive, and then google that.

Check there to see what Optical Drive you have, the max burning speed will be the first number.
Ex. 12x8x32
I'm pretty sure
