For those who are suffering with HP's crummy drivers and miserable tech support for their print/scan/fax/copy combo devices, I'd like to share my experience. I finally got tired of losing the ability to scan with my Officejet 6110 every time Apple released a 0.0.1 update to OS X, so I finally replaced it with an Epson CX6400. The CX6400 doesn't have fax funcitonality, but I never used that on the HP. The drivers work right out of the box. And the software in the box was probably written for 10.3.0 or 10.3.1. I did a lot of printing and scanning and everything works great.

It's good to hear someone having success with those bastards, since Mac support for the all-in-ones has traditionally been horrible.
Enjoy your machine.

Although the HP website could have posted the easy fix to a conflict with MacOS 10.2.8 and the HP PSC 2410, HP tech support responded with in 24 hours with a solution. I was actually able to print and scan to my PowerBook g4 straight from the box. My issue was with Safari conflicting with fonts loaded whrn updating drivers from HP.
As for the Epson, I have had mixed luck with Epson printers. So far, no complaints my present PSC 2410 with print quality, or any other HP printers I have "borrowed" ise of with my Pbook.

i have dumped money into the officejet 7110 and the drivers do break on every Mac OS update. at least printing works, but scanning and faxing are hit or miss.
i don't think i'll be getting an HP next time.

For me the whole point of an all in one is a fax.
Plus with epson clogging head reputation I am never touching them again.

I just dumped my HP PSC 750, and bought a Brother 3820cn. The HP never supported fast user switching, which is very important to me. The Brother handles fast user switching with ease. Its docs are poor, but the harware seems good. It has Ethernet and USB interfaces.

So far, I've had no problems with the new Epson and Fast User Switching.
Is there a link to a thread regarding a problem with Epson print head clogging? After catching up on this thread, I took a look and the print heads do not appear to be part of the cartridge in the CX6400, so they're not disposable like the last couple of HP's I've seen.
