Is anyone using a Sony Ericsson Edge card with thier PB? Whenever I send/recieve data my powerbook makes a really loud high pichted static noise. This makes it practically unusable. Wounldn't that make it fcc non compliant? Also, I only get speeds of 30k, the same as connecting through my phone! I've looked at the Nova Media software, but they sy I need a mysterious firmware thet they nor Ericsoon know how to aquire.

FCC compliance has nothing to do with whether it makes unpleasant noises or not. FCC compliance means it must meet regulations regarding interference (or the fact that it can't produce any) and the frequencies it uses.
