I accidently unplugged the firewire cable from the external drive (without ejecting the drive) and now the drive will not mount. Any suggestions?

Disk utility does not show the disk.

It does not mount in OS9 either. I am running 10.3.

Thanks

If possible, unplug "power" from external than replug. Drive should spin up and mount. Or at least be seen by Disk copy.

look for a shareware app called Mount It! on macupdate, maybe that'll do the trick.

You may have damaged the directory. Try DiskWarrior, it should fix it.
