Issue resolved. Happy ending see next post.

In early January I ordered an iPod accessory from these guys. The product in question was the SportsWrap – basically and arm band holder for the iPod which would be great for me when I go jogging as it wont bounce around on my waist and should be in danger of skipping.

So I placed an order and a month later no product or email of dispatch (I had received the usual email right after ordering to say they received my order). So I sent a polite email to see what was happening. They sent a fast reply saying they were having problems with the supplier and the earliest date I could expect delivery was the 20 March. This happens to be my birthday so considering it as a sign I thought I'd hang on in there.

2 months later – nothing – no emails, no updates of the situation at all. I think I have been very patient with them so I write another email asking where the product is and what the situation is and what they are doing to remedy it. I got no reply from that one (yes I was polite despite being angry).

Today I have received a case from them – not the SportsWrap but some sort of hard shell case which is pretty nicely built but totally useless for me and the use i had intended for it. My first thoughts were that fair enough they have obviously had problems with the supplier that can't be resolved and I have been sent this as a gesture of good will – haha – yeah right!

I checked my bank statement and they have charged me for it – I am stuck with a product I don't want and as I'm in the UK the cost of shipping it back will probably cost more than the refund I am due.

All you had to do was keep in contact Extreme Mac – an update every 2 – 3 weeks would have kept me happy & if you can't send me the product I want ask me before you send me something else.

12 hours after my email and this post I recieved an email from Seth D. Lubin -Executive Vice President of XtremeMac.

He apologised for for the slip up and assured me that it is not the norm with this company.

To resolve the situation my account is being refunded, I get to keep the Xtremity Case, & a new SportsWrap is being shipped out.

i accept the apology and am happy with the resolution. This is my first dealing with Xtreme Mac and as such i am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I am also impressed at how quickly a response was made - thankyou Xtreme Mac.

Although no one posted I see over 100 people viewed this thread. I hope 100 more view it to see it came out with a good ending.

Now to rewrite this as a reply to Seth.
