I found a great deal on an open box item online. I just need to be sure that it is compatible with my computer before I buy. There's only one in stock, so I need assurance quickly.
My computer is a G5 1.8
The monitor is a Viewsonic VG800B (18 in. $412)
The connection listed is a 15-pin mini D-sub
I'm not sure exactly what that is.
Oh, and any general comments on Viewsonic monitors are apprecieated.

The monitor should be fine.

Check that you have the DVI to VGA(?) adapter to connect the graphics card (which one do you have?) to the monitor.

My adapter is w white lead about 6 inches long.
