I was on Toshiba's web site and saw that they have 60gb, 80gb, and 100gb miniture hard drives. When will apple add more memory to the iPod? My 20 gig is almost full and it is about time to upgrade but I want to make sure that I wont have to upgrade for at least 5 years. Link to Toshiba

You were looking at the wrong line of drives. iPods use the 1.8" drives, which still exist only up to 40GB.

The ones that go up to 100GB are 2.5" drives (standard notebook drives).

And just so you know, referring to hard drive space as "memory" is incorrect. Memory is RAM. Hard drives don't have memory.

Better to refer to a hard drive as "storage" rather than "memory," but I can't help but think of RAM as short term memory and a hard drive as long term memory. Also, short term memory tends to be more volatile while long term memory is more stable.

Anyway, like memory a hard drive "remembers" things for you, so ...
15" Aluminum Powerbook G4, 1.25GHz, 1GB, 80GB. Airport Extreme. 4G iPod 60GB.
