I bought AppleCare for my iPod recently but the registration page wasn't working and so I had to register it by phone. That was fine but I'm left with no physical documents, bar the iPod Enrollment number, to prove that I have AppleCare. As I'm needing to take the iPod to an Apple Certified Dealer soon (Headphones are falling apart) I'm unsure as to how they treat AppleCare agreements. Does AppleCare usually issue an actual AppleCare document or are authorised Apple Dealers able to check online if Applecare has been registered for the product?

When you bring an item in for service, they run your serial number thru the system to see what kind of coverage you have. The paperwork is really unnecessary. But save the receipt that shows you purchased it - that could come in handy if there's a DB issue.
