Mini iPods in stock at NYC soho apple store..

FYI...at the Apple store in Soho..about 70 mini's in stock here.
all colors except pink.
Yesterday there were NONE of any color. But they had some last Friday when I was here as well...but on that day just blue and silver.
they sell very fast, but it seems Apple is making a effort to keep at least this flagship store stocked with the mini's.
I guess I should stock up and ebay them! (nah)
(I did pick up a green one though)

You'd think Apple would ship the mini iPod web orders before stocking their stores with them. Now only if I didn't live 8 hours from the nearest Apple Store

yes it does suck. but Apple obviously wants to have the mini's available at least in the BIG Apple for the publicity value at least.
You can't throw a dead cat in New York City without hitting someone with a ipod.
anyhow now I just canceled my order for the mini on Amazon.com...which showed it wasn't going to ship until mid June!

June! Wow. When did you place the order? I was thinking of getting a mini but I have a first gen 5GB and the 5GB is getting too small so I'm looking at the 15GB now.

Last Friday I was with a friend here at the Apple store in Soho when he purchased a blue mini ipod. they only had blue and silver in stock and I was ambivelant about the mini's...didn't think they were good value for the meager 4 gig space.
But I helped him set his mini up and decided I had to have a green one....they are just too cool not to have.....so I ordered on Amazon.
But I knew Amazon would easily let me cancel if I found one here first which turned out to be the case.

I live 3 blocks away from the apple store in Chicago. Sometimes I take my supper there!
