Hi all,
I just read on www.macbidouille.com that you can t find any iPod mini in NY no more...
And that the "refurb" was giving away brand new gen3...
As they say, they do not want to create a rumor, but, the iPod is supposed to be launch in Europe in July! :o)

I think as stated before it will be difficult to call when new iPods are coming because they are in demand all the time - so this evidence may just be specific to NY.

Anyhow, I would be mildly tempted if the rev 4 iPods took the best bits from the mini and then added some more

I agree. The Gen3 iPod looks like they handed the project over to some intern design students. Obviously, Apple is aware of this since they reverted back to the original design elements when designing the Mini.

As for shortages of minis; I don't think that spells a new mini design soon. I think it just means that demand is exceeding supply. Though, I do suspect we'll see a Gen4 iPod this summer with the minis being unchanged, though dropped in price by about $50.

Yes, but you're referencing sales of the mini to speculate on a Gen4 iPod.
