et voila!
SONY is in the cell phone market, in the game, in the mobile music/video, in the entertainment...
The new generation (I am over I am 30!) wants all in one stuff, a mobile phone/PDA/camera/console.
SONY is one step from it, apple will lose it soonish I tink... They shold focus ASAP on Mac, in user interface they rock, Apple for hardware is having too much competition I presume...
And this PSP thing can play all the audio formats!

there is some discussion about all that is e3 going on in the lounge. the psp does look good, but an ipod killer, i think not. the psp is not small, i think just due the size of it it won't kill the ipod.
question. how do you store music on it? does it have a hard drive or do you have to use sony memory sticks?
if memory sticks is the case then it definitely won't kill the ipod. a quick look on sonystyle.com and a 1gig memory stick is going to set you back $499. say the psp is $200, you could buy a 15gig ipod and a psp for the same price as the memory stick

Good for you. This device won't hurt ipod sales at all.
Also, for at least 30, you should know that "tink" is not a word.

PSP is not quite there yet, but the idea is right. Add pda functions and so on and have a mature design.

OK, maybe my subject was a bit too iPod related, and obviously that is what counts...
So let s talk about an "Mobile Entertainment Device" (MED).
I wanted to stress that Apple is going plain simple with the iPod, fine, but the new generations want more. Do you know that video phones exist?

or
http://3.dk/
what about that? It is the Present here in DK.
OK I know, it is not an iPod related stuff, but it is now a reality!
I know, apple wont go into phones blah-blah competition, etc.
But the real innovating products?... The future stuff?...
Again yes they have the best OS (not that many to choose between anyway) but the pure Dream? This machine of the future? Yes it co$t to go for those stuff but I hope that with the millions of $ of the iPods and music store, they will make me dream again!

I think Apple is doing the right thing when it comes to the iPod. It is exactly what I (and many other people) want without being overkill. I can listen to my music and store contacts or notes. Simple and easy to use. I love technology just as much or possibly more than the next person but I don't enjoy having a cell phone, camera, PDA, mp3 player, video player and kitchen sink all in one unit.
I switched cell phone carriers recently so I had to get a new phone. Every single phone they offered had a color screen and all but one of them had a built in camera. I don't need all that, I just want a cell phone. The camera's do not take good pictures and I hate a color screen. My reasoning is behind this is if I am trying to dial a number or need to look up a number while outside I can't see anything. Also, since the screens went to color the usability went down hill. I have yet to find a new phone that I like.
My point is this. If Apple were to make the iPod more than what it is meant to be I think they would actually lose business. I don't think Apple is trying to compete with the PSP and I'm happy that they don't.
