Hard to love a USB hub, but I love my Griffin USB-Audio Hub

Works powered or unpowered (I use it with my TiBook at my desk, so it's powered) and it plays nicely with other children. I got it because it was recommended with the iMic, and its operated flawlessly for two years through all the OS updates.

It's also small and unobtrusive.

Sure, but I dislike to have usb wires plugged at right (or left if you are a left-handed person) of mi Al PB. Too bad I can not do the same thing with the FireWire ports, both at right

I just picked up the Kensignton PocketHub Mini; it's incredibly small, only USB 1.1 though, but for printers, speakers, etc....it doesn't matter.

I use belkin 4 port powered items. I have 3 at the moment, and had 5+ in my office at one point.

All worked flawlessly and were not effected by the OS X bug that crippled some hubs a while back.

I had 2 of these and would not recommend them to anyone, things were always disconnecting or not working properly with them. Their gathering dust in my closet right now, worst $$$ I ever spent

If you want cheap, small buss powered try this Adesso. Works like a champ for all low power devices.... I can have my Sony USB buss powered speakers, my Logitech optical mouse and a 4 LED USB light plugged into hub on my iBook and it supplies power to all them. Small and easy to travel with also.

Adesso also makes a small 4 port USB2 powered version ...

My home computer has a Pertech hub, expensive but worth it, I had all kinds of stuff connected to Griffin hub and something was always not working. Got the the Pertech and everything always works now.

This may be over kill for your situation but i was fed up with USB problems, audio or webcam disconnecting or various other usb problems. USB is flaky by nature anyway, you don't need some flaky hub making thing worse. Plus I can't tell you how much I love the design of this hub.

With the Griffin hub even the Griffin iMic was always disconnecting, thats sad, a hub designed by the same company that makes the usb audio adapter, and supposedly specially designed for usb audio was always disconnecting..

Also cannot reccomend these Adesso Gold USB cables highly enough.....

USB Hubs are relative cheap, so I donīt worry about spending some more bucks if they are worth. Mainly use: m$ wireless mouse, wacom A4 silver edition. Mainly to plug the hub at the left of the PowerBook and so avoid to have cluttered my right size, but, I do not solve the FireWire thing then.

I want to buy the Macally Firewire/USB2 hub. Anybody use it? Anybody satisfied with it, or not? I wonder if it's compatible with USB audio.
