So, I came home from college, and my parents had bought my brother a new powerbook and a Konica Minolta 1350W laser printer. I (the IT director of the house) went to hook it up, and noticed that it is not compatible with OS X. I did a search here and found that many Konica Minolta printers just aren't compatible with Macs. I am curious if anyone knows of any sites where I might find drivers that someone wrote by themselves.

Any help is appreciated.

If the laser printer can speak some sort of PCL (PCL5, PCL6), then you can use CUPS's generic PCL drivers. Even better, if it understands Postscript. If it can't understand neither of them, it looks very dim. Try GIMPprint or TurboPrint (alternative drivers for CUPS).

It's a GDI printer, so unless Minolta decides to write drivers, it'll never work on anything but Windows.

Ditto.
Never buy GDI printers.
