I want to plug my DSL modem and my fax modem into a single line (with a DSL filter attached to the latter, naturally), but I wonder if the usually Y adapter is the way to go or if there is a better way. Any ideas?

Well, I found a splitter specifically for this purpose (one jack is labeled "phone" and the other "DSL (filtered." I'll try that.
