It'll be interesting to see how PalmOne reacts to this, as Sony was the source of most of the innovation on the Palm platform...

Probably something to do with the overlap, or potential overlap, between Sony Clie PDA's and Sony Ericsson phones. The Clie is staying in production for Japan, home of the gadget freak and the Clie's biggest market, elsewhere, they have given room now for the P900 phone replacement to be a lot more PDA in its design.

I hadn't thought of that. I was kinda hoping to see SE put a Palm in one of their phones, but I guess that possibility is pretty much finished.

This really is a great shame, as Sony have a real winner with the TH-55. A lovely screen, dual wireless (for Europe), MP3 player, palm OS, usable camera, decent video player - it has it all! My hope is that they will try the market again with OS6.

Hey, you forgot the longest battery ever on a PDA for the TH55. 25 hours in mp3 mode!
