Anybody using a Belkin USB switch successfully? This thing is a POS. I'm using it as a switch for a keyboard and mouse combo, and the thing requires you to use the software to change computers. And you can only take ownership with the software - you can't switch from your computer to the other one. WHich means, of course, that I need to use the keyboard and mouse combo that I'm trying to share to switch the mouse and keyboard combo.

Wow - that sounds horrible. I'm using the IOGear USB hub to switch between my laptop and desktop at work and it involves only the pressing of a button. Sounds like the process you go thru is a PITA.

I had high hopes for Belkin's dual-head 2 port KVM switch. These hopes were brutally dashed upon using the thing. Wouldn't even see my standard Apple USB keyboard, just beeped noisily at me. Returned for a full refund, thank goodness. Here I thought Belkin's KVM switches were top quality... not so.

On the other hand, my 2+ year old IOGear 4-port USB KVM is stil going strong.
