Hi, I recently bought a 17" Samsung lcd display. The stand has always been a bit troublesome, and tends to tip forward rather easily. It's like the hinge isn't strong enough. I took the cover off but there's no adjustment you can make.

Yesterday, while moving some things on the desk, it fell forward and hit the keyboard. I know have two pale patches on the screen, where it touched the keyboard, they show as lighter parts, regardless of the colour displayed.

Is the screen permanently damaged, or is there anything I can do to make it better?

Thanks for your help,

J.

sounds like a defective monitor, and you should call samsung and complain. If it was purchased recently, it should stil be under warrenty.

Just don't mention the falling on the keyboard part.
