Greetings,

I already know that you can't check ink levels remotely, when you have your USB printer connected to the Apple Extreme Base Station.

What I'm wondering now is ....

when you initially "align" your new ink cartridges [with the printer attached to your computer], where is this information stored?

On your computer? or is there a chip on the printer where it stores this information?

When you don't have it attached to your computer, and it's attached remotely, does it retain the "aligned" settings?

any help would be great!

Thanks

In every printer I know of, alignment is stored in the printer (in many printer models, you can do the alignment without the aid of a computer).
