Ok I've got this external HD that runs off firewire. My friend and I wanted to use my external drive on his PC Compaq Laptop. He has a firewire port on his Compaq, but it looks very different like its smaller or something. Any ideas?

Also, if we can't share files that way, we're both on a wireless network. Is there a setting in Sharing I can use to share files back and forth between my iBook and his Compaq?

Thanks.

FireWire 400 has two connectors: 6-pin (what Apple puts on all its FW devices and computers), and the smaller 4-pin, which is what DV camcorders and many PCs use. Assuming the drive uses a 6-pin connector, just get a cable with a 6-pin on one end and 4-pin on the other (these are the easiest FW cables to find, frankly).
