anyone getting a Hot Sync operation to work with this software combination? It starts normally, prompts for the user then aborts with a "File not Found" -43 error message from the Palm software.

Software uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Permissions fixed three times

Configuration

G5, OS 10.3.4, PalmOne software 4.2.1, Zire 31 PDA.

solution found. . . . . .

you cannot have any of the old Palm files installed onn the machine. Once ALL of the old Palm stuff was removed, the new Palm software installed properly AND was able to hotsync to the Zire 31.

PS Palm phone support is less than helpful for Mac users.
